Optimizing Your Physical Rehabilitation For many of our clients, physiotherapy is a vital step, but the journey to healing often requires more. When your nervous system remains in a high-alert state, it can keep pelvic floor muscles in a chronic state of guarding or tension, regardless of physical treatment. Ummul’s work is specifically designed to complement your physiotherapy by helping you down-regulate your nervous system. By using somatic and nervous-system-focused techniques, she helps you move your body from a state of "protection" to one of "connection," lowering your baseline sensitivity and creating the internal safety needed for lasting physical healing.
- Service Model: All sessions are conducted virtually via video or phone.
- Ontario Residents: As a Registered Psychotherapist, Ummul’s services may be covered under your psychotherapy or counselling benefits. Contact us to check if we can direct bill to your insurance benefit provider.
- Outside Ontario: Ummul works with clients across Canada as a Nervous System Regulation Coach. While these services are not eligible for psychotherapy insurance reimbursement, they may be eligible under your Health Spending Accounts—we encourage you to check your individual plan.
